WiFi QR Advanced Decoder

Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 21, 2026

WiFi QR Advanced Decoder ("the app," "we," "us," or "our") helps you scan, decode, edit, and generate Wi-Fi QR codes. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.

Summary

Wi-Fi QR information, including network names and passwords, is processed on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store that information on our own servers. The app does display ads through Google Mobile Ads (AdMob), and Google may process certain data to provide and measure those ads as described below.

Information you provide in the app

The app lets you scan or enter Wi-Fi QR content and generate QR codes. This content can include a Wi-Fi network name (SSID), password, security type, and whether the network is hidden. The app processes this content locally to provide its decoding and QR-generation features. We do not upload it to, or retain it on, our servers.

If you select a copy option, the chosen value is placed on your device's clipboard. Your device and any apps that have permission to access the clipboard handle that clipboard content under their own settings and policies. You can clear it using your device's clipboard controls.

Camera permission

The app requests camera access only when you choose to scan a QR code. Camera data is used on-device to detect and read the code; it is not recorded, uploaded, or used for any other purpose. You may deny or revoke camera access in your Android device settings, although scanning will then be unavailable.

Advertising and third-party services

The app uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to show banner and interstitial advertisements. Google and its advertising partners may collect or process data such as device identifiers, IP address, app and device information, ad interactions, diagnostic information, and information used to provide, personalize, limit, or measure advertising. The data processed and the available choices depend on your device, location, Google-account settings, and applicable law.

Google handles this information under its own policies. Please review the Google Privacy Policy and Google's information about how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services. You can manage eligible ad-personalization choices in My Ad Center and through your device settings.

How we use information

Wi-Fi QR information is used only on your device to provide the features you request. We do not use it for advertising, analytics, profiling, or sale. Data processed by Google Mobile Ads may be used by Google and its partners to deliver, personalize where permitted, secure, and measure advertisements under their policies.

Data sharing and retention

We do not sell, rent, or share Wi-Fi QR information with third parties because we do not receive or retain it. The app does not create an account or maintain a developer-side database of your Wi-Fi QR content. Google Mobile Ads and its partners may retain information they process in accordance with their own policies.

Your choices

  • Use the app without scanning by entering a Wi-Fi QR payload manually.
  • Allow, deny, or revoke camera permission in Android settings.
  • Manage ad preferences through My Ad Center and your device settings.
  • Clear copied Wi-Fi information from your device clipboard when you no longer need it.
  • Uninstall the app to stop its local processing on your device.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed to children under the age at which parental consent is required in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Advertising partners may have their own age-related requirements and controls under their policies.

Security

Because Wi-Fi QR content is processed locally, you are responsible for protecting your device and any QR codes or clipboard contents you choose to share. Do not share Wi-Fi passwords or QR codes with people you do not trust.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the app, its services, or applicable requirements. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the effective date above.
